1. Where are you located? What are your hours?

We are moving to a new location 75 Waneka Parkway located in the Confluence SBC in Lafayette. Beginning January 2nd we will be open daily Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to Noon.

2. Do I need to pay in advance for your service? 

No. We do not charge upfront for our service work, though we do ask for payment on parts over $100.

3. Can I get my repair rushed? 

Yes, you can! We charge $150 an hour for this service and you are moved to the top of the queue. However, some test and repairs can take a while to complete so please take that into consideration when requesting this service.

4. How long will my repair take to complete?

Our standard turnaround time is anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the machine and the repair. Each computer is different from another and your repair could take shorter or longer based on a number of factors including: running operating system, viruses and malware, parts, hardware in the computer, and any prior maintenance work done on the machine.

5. What should I bring for my repair? 

If you're bringing a laptop or macbook for service please bring your charger. If it's a desktop, please just bring the unit unless you're having issues with the mouse and keyboard or you have concerns about another device you have connected to it. Also, it's really important to bring/know your password if required for the machine.

6. Is my computer and data safe with Shawn's Computer Repairs?

We treat each device as though it's our own. We really care about our repair service and the customers we serve. While we know it may not be possible to make everyone happy, we strive to do our best.
